It all started back in the mid seventies with my mate Jim. Jim managed a record shop in Hounslow called Cloud 7, and over time, and because I was a frequent customer, we became good friends. One day I noticed that he had a big, hard leather case slung over his shoulder. His camera gear. My first introduction to photography was helping him out in the makeshift darkroom in his flat in Chiswick. I was hooked, and I hadn't even taken a photo yet! When a year or so later he announced that he was selling his current gear to finance an upgrade, I bought it. And that was that.
